Delivery
Koga bikes are built by a single mechanic up in Leeuwarden, Friesland. The factory can turn around a custom order in five to six weeks. But take note: in august and around christmas time the delivery time adds up to seven or eight weeks, because Koga production mechanics all go on holiday.
Your custom bike
On Koga’s website you can ‘design’ your own Signature bike. If you want to know more about which parts to choose and want our help and expertise, e-mail or call us. We’re happy to help!
We can also do more than Koga, for instance if you like to have some other parts. A crazy handlebar or saddle, a titanium pannier rack or some type of special headlight. We make it happen.
Even more important: We custom fit you with our sizing frame. This is a expert service we provide to everyone who purchases a bike at our shop. This way we can ensure a comfortable position in which we have a look at contact points: Saddle, pedals, hand positions, grips, bar ends, etc.
About Koga
Koga, the famous bicycle brand from Heerenveen, has been building high-end touring (and racing) bikes in the Netherlands for over 40 years. Koga was founded in 1974 by Andries Gaastra, son of Batavus founder Gerrit Gaastra and father of idworx founder Gerrit Gaastra. Until 2010 the company was called Koga Miyata, because they imported steel frames from the Japanese company Miyata. Koga now only makes touring frames in aluminum. In Holland they’ve become known as the company that introduced the Japanese Shimano on the Dutch market.
Nowadays Koga is one of the brands of Accell Nederland, part of the Accell Group, which also includes Batavus and Sparta.
